These reports on WNBC-TV (6:20 on Thursday mornings and 5:20 on Monday evenings) and WNBC.com/technology bring you tips and tricks to make use of  technology all around you. Please send feedback by using this form.

Here are some ideas, folks, for Valentine's Day gift ideas for the love of your life who also loves high-tech gifts.

  • Macbook Air: This new laptop from Apple is the world's thinnest notebook computer and put, simply, gorgeous (but the thinness alone is not what makes it gorgeous). Your gift recipient will love it and be the envy of everyone at the local Starbucks, especially for features like the full-size keyboard and trackpad with some of the features borrowed from the iPhone screen. It doesn't have a built-in DVD player, but you can use and external drive or connect to a nearby Mac or Windows PC to install software and retrieve files. Price is $1,799, which compares well to the PC offerings in the ultraportable category.
  • Pink iPod Nano, $199: Not much to explain here, except for the new color for the iPod Nano with video.
  • AT&T's Valentine's Day Deals: Lots of good deals from the folks at AT&T have some great phones on sale through Feb. 14 this year.
  • Boynq Alibi, $79: A fun line of speakers with webcam and microphone, to keep in touch with your loved one. Check out their full line of cool-looking tech products at Boynq.com.
  • CallMeCasanova.com: Here's a service for the busy guy. You tell it all the important dates for which you need to get gifts throughout the year: Valentine's Day, birthdays, anniversary, etc, etc, and it will make sure your gifts get there in time. Kind of a personal shopper for the lazy, distracted guy.
