This is the morning Democrats have been waiting for since Jan. 4. Clinton, Obama each claim a victory in two key primaries. The subject on the campaign trail Friday was regarding the gas tax holiday. The budget may be balanced but the mayor warns the economy is still sinking. A special guest joins Politics To Go to weigh in. Barack Obama effectively ended his relationship with his pastor Tuesday. Obama’s former pastor has broken his silence and defended some of his most controversial statements. In a new poll, Obama matches up well against McCain in a historically Republican state; plus, Clinton wants another debate. Hillary Clinton hopes her Pennsylvania win will help her on the road ahead. Hillary Clinton, however, remains short on cash. Although many questions have been raised, few answers are known. Throughout the first 40 minutes of Wednesday night’s debate, Obama was put on the defensive. Many council members were furious that some of the changes would give some of council’s power to give away to the mayor, make the process of getting the money harder for community groups and that they were not consulted before she make the announcements. The mayor had spent a year pushing the failed congestion pricing plan. The governor has asked that members of the legislator stay until the budget is passed. Christine Quinn says all of the money mentioned was actually spent on legitimate purposes like parks and zoos Meanwhile the battle for Pennsylvania seems to be closing. The controversial plan is now headed to Albany. The entire project could be finished by 2020. McCain, Obama call for an investigation. A man has posted a rap song about Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton.More New York State will have a new governor at noon Monday. Few said they believed Spitzer could hold onto power. Barack Obama wraps up a tough week, and now he faces the question of whether he will fight back after running a high-road campaign.
