MINEOLA, N.Y. -- Four Long Island teenagers were charged Tuesday with assault and harassment for allegedly tossing an egg at a 13-year-old boy on Halloween, blinding him in one eye.
The 13-year-old boy and three friends were walking on Chauncey Place in Woodbury at 8:30 p.m. on Halloween when a silver H2 Hummer dove by, and someone inside the car threw an egg at the boy.The boy was treated at North Shore Hospital, where it was determined that the eggshell had scratched his cornea and may have caused permanent loss of vision in his eye.
