HALEDON, N.J. -- Haledon police have found a two-room building
filled with, in the words of an animal control officer, "snakes that will bite you and you will die."
Authorities found the rattlesnakes, endangered snakes and a
4-pound caiman Wednesday morning after checking on a man who hadn't
been seen in days.
Animal Control Officer John DeCando said the unidentified man
was treated for a snake bite last week.
DeCando said the man faces charges for importing exotic animals.
