Fire Reported At Millennium Hilton Hotel

NEW YORK -- A fire in the basement of the Millennium Hilton hotel forced fire officials to evacuate hotel staff and guests Thursday afternoon.
Fire officials said the fire was in the basement of the hotel. Hotel patrons and workers were evacuated from the hotel. There were no reports of injuries.

The hotel is located just yards away from ground zero on the opposite side of Broadway in lower Manhattan. And at 57 stories high, the Millenium Hilton is one of New York City's tallest hotels. The hotel was badly damaged by the terrorist attacks and reopened in April after $31 million worth of reconstruction work.
