Boil Water Order Issued For Caldwell

NEW YORK -- The Caldwell, N.J., Water Department announced Tuesday that a routine water sample has tested positive for E. Coli.As a result, the department advises all Caldwell Water System customers to boil their water for one full minute prior to using for cooking or drinking until further notice.The system is being flushed to remove any contaminated water, News 4 New York has learned. Another sample will be tested Wednesday morning. Test results take 24 hours.
If Thursday’s results are negative, the municipality said it will contact the state to remove the alert.
