Two icons at a Greek Orthodox cathedral in Hempstead, L.I., began weeping in mid-June, according to church parishioners and clergy.

The priests at the church said the Virgin Mary icon started weeping an unidentifiable oily liquid after a Vespers Service for Pentecost on Sunday, June 15.

On June 20, the icon of St. Nicholas began exhibiting moisture throughout the icon, according to the church. A fragrant oil began flowing from its eyes two days later, said church officials.

Parishoners are calling it a miracle.

Three icons, two of which are of Virgin Mary, were enshrined in the church in the 1960s because of tearing, according to the church website.
