Arrest Made In Bronx Sports Bar Shooting

NEW YORK -- Police have arrested a man for allegedly shooting two men, one of them fatally, in a Bronx sports bar early Monday morning.Police arrested Bronx resident Luis Paulino and charged him with murder and attempted Murder.Police said Paulino, 47, got into a dispute with another man at the Oasis Cafe on Jamaica Avenue in the Norwood section of the Bronx. He left, came back with a gun and began shooting inside the bar, according to police.

Paulino's shots missed his intended target and ended up hitting two bystanders instead, police said.Manuel Saico, 25, was shot in the chest and was pronounced dead at North Central Bronx Hospital, police said. The victim was an Ecuadorian construction worker who stopped at the bar for something to eat with his friends. His body will flown back to Ecuador to be buried.Another man was shot in the torso and taken to St. Barnabas Hospital where he is listed in serious condition.
