Bronx Fire Kills 1, Injures Another

NEW YORK -- An elderly woman was killed and a second elderly female was hurt Saturday in a fire in the Bronx. One woman in her 70s died in the apartment blaze in the borough's Fordham section. A 97-year-old woman was in stable condition at a Bronx hospital. Fire officials said the fire was reported at about 8:15 a.m. and was confined to a single second-floor apartment.
