Slain Rowan Student Laid To Rest
Funeral services were held Saturday for the Rowan University student who died last week after being beaten and robbed on his way home from a party.Donald Farrell was laid to rest after a funeral service at St. Catherine of Siena Church in Mountain Lakes, N.J.Hundreds packed the church and lined the streets to say goodbye to Farrell, who died Oct. 29.
The 19-year-old sophomore was attacked by five men outside a convenience store near the Glassboro campus, police said. Witnesses said the group asked Farrell for directions, and then punched and kicked him, trying to take his wallet.Farrell died from a ruptured artery in his neck.
