Police: Fake Officer Frisked, Groped Woman On L.I.

NEW YORK -- A man dressed to look like a police officer is being sought after he ordered a woman out of a van on Long Island before frisking and groping her.It was the second such incident on Long Island in two days. Nassau County police said a man had on a dark uniform and a badge when he approached the 26-year-old woman early Sunday as she was sleeping in a van off the Sunrise Highway in Lynbrook. After searching and groping her, he got into a dark-colored car and drove off.
