Obama “Sorry” for Lost Health Coverage

President Barack Obama is "sorry" for Americans who are losing their current health insurance plans as a result of Obamacare, despite his promise that nobody would have to give up a health plan they liked, he said in an exclusive NBC interview. "I am sorry that they are finding themselves in this situation based on assurances they got from me," he told Chuck Todd. "We've got to work hard to make sure that they know we hear them and we are going to do everything we can to deal with folks who find themselves in a tough position as a consequence of this." Americans who buy their own health insurance risk being forced off their current plans if those plans don't meet the new Obamacare standards. Millions of them have gotten cancellation notices, forcing them to enroll in new plans, often at higher premiums. That has called into question Obama's repeated assurances that Americans would be able to keep their old insurance under Obamacare.
