Strike-Affected Shows Start Returning To TV

Sitcoms, Dramas Start Coming Back After Unintended Hiatus

It's taken some time, but starting this week, several network television shows are returning to the airwaves after being stifled by the Hollywood writers' strike.

According to the television news Web site AllYourTV.com, several shows that stopped production due to the strike will not return until next fall. Those shows include "Chuck" (NBC), "Dirty Sexy Money" (ABC), "Heroes" (NBC), "Life" (NBC), "Private Practice" (ABC) and "Pushing Daisies" (ABC).

In addition, the new season of Fox's "24" has been pushed back to January 2009, although a "24" movie is set to air in the fall.

Other shows like "Shark" (CBS) and "Swingtown" will resume this summer, although no dates have been announced yet.
